​Influenced by Frank……..

Janet is an ardent Frank Lloyd Wright fan and has been influenced by his work all her adult life. Her home and its furniture that she built were inspired by his work. Lately this influence has spread to her artwork. 

After studying a book of Wright's floor plans of single level homes, she discovered that they looked like 3-dimension drawings. She began to use the same angles in her artwork to bring about the illusion that the perspective changed as you scanned the work. This collection of 2-d pieces is titled “Out of my Mind” because rather than working from reality she worked from principles, theories and experiments.
