Jenny Urbanek

Jenny Urbanek is a contemporary artist, art educator and yoga instructor in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In her work she reclaims and reimagines our deep shared past; looking backward in order to move forward. She utilizes metaphor, myth, and creates relationships between seemingly unrelated things, places, and people.

​She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from UW-Milwaukee and Master of Arts degree in Art Education from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her work has been shown nationwide including, “Fractures and Dislocations: Excavating Histories” at the International Surgical Science Museum in Chicago and, “Deities: Embodying the Fragmented”, which she curated and exhibited at Bay View Gallery Night.
